A cooperative project of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and the March of Dimes Foundation. The program is designed to promote prenatal care participation and encourage healthy behaviors during pregnancy through two components-incentives and education.

Stork’s Nest clients “earn” points toward incentives such as maternity or baby care items though a variety of positive, health-promoting activities: attending prenatal visits, participating in prenatal education classes, stopping at-risk behaviors such as smoking cigarettes and consuming alcoholic beverages, reducing stress, etc.

Zeta Tau Zeta Chapter sponsors the Stork’s Nest Program in conjunction with Advocate Trinity Hospital in Chicago, IL..

Trinity Hospital has been the location for our program for over four years. Stork’s Nest is also supported by the Department of Health and March of Dimes, whom provides informative material on prenatal care, breastfeeding, and healthy eating.

Information and resources around government programs such as WIC, Day Care and food assistance programs are covered as a means of providing additional assistance and support to our clients.
