Welcome to Zeta Tau Zeta Online!
Greetings,
as the President of Zeta Tau Zeta chapter, I welcome you to our website.
Zeta Tau Zeta is a graduate chapter of college educated women from all
walks of life, who are actively serving our community.
We are dedicated to the principles of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. which
are Scholarship, Service, Sisterly Love and Finer Womanhood. For ladies
who have not completed college, but desire to be a part of an organization
dedicated to serving the community, we invite you to join our Amicae
(Friends of Zeta) auxiliary.
Zeta Tau Zeta works diligently with the girls in our community. We work
with the Pearlettes (4-8yrs.), Amicettes (9-12yrs.) and Archonettes
(13-18yrs.) in the Chicago land area. Through these groups, we conduct
programs and projects that involve young ladies in positive activities
based on the principles of our sorority. Archonettes who are graduating
from high school are eligible to apply for our annual scholarship.
One of our International projects is Z-HOPE (Zetas Helping Other People
Excel). Through this program, our chapter has conducted many workshops to
provide health and safety information to men, women and young people
throughout the Chicago land area. Zeta Tau Zeta has also contributed to
improving the quality of life of people in Africa. Through Z-HOPE, we have
donated school supplies and contributed to the building of water wells in
that country.
Storks’ Nest is also one of Zeta’s international projects. Zeta began its
partnership with Walk America (the March of Dimes) in 1972. Its mission is
to educate expectant teen parents on how to have a healthy baby. Through
this program our chapter has helped hundreds of young parents. Each year,
we participate in Walk America’s annual Walk-a-Thon, Change for Babies
Program and their Prematurity Campaign.
Annually, we have a luncheon to celebrate our principle of Finer Womanhood
by honoring an outstanding woman from the community, a chapter member, an
Amicae, and an Archonette for their outstanding community service. Also at
this Luncheon, we present scholarships to young ladies who will be
attending four year colleges or universities in the fall.
The women of Zeta Tau Zeta are an energetic group, who love our sisterhood
and serving our community. If you are interested in developing friendships
and working with women who are community minded and action orientated
please contact our Membership Chairperson Mrs. Evangeline Johnson at
Carej2@yahoo.com.
Sisterly,
Soror Gwendolyn Carson
